We’re an independent family run business with a desire to create something special for other families to enjoy. Set in our cosy, colouful corner of the ‘shire, we’re serving up Sunday Roast delights for all the family to enjoy. From perfectly cooked beef sirloin and spring lamb to a show-stopping vegan Wellington, crispy roast potatoes, homemade gravy, and desserts that may or may not require a little post dinner snooze (scroll down for a peek at one of our favourite post roast puds!) . … This isn’t just a roast dinner, this is a Sunday ritual not to missed!

A Proper Sunday Roast in Caxton

Our Sunday roast runs every week from 12pm until 4pm, giving you plenty of time to gather family, friends, dogs (yes, we’re super dog-friendly!) and settle in for a relaxed countryside lunch.

We’re located in Caxton, Cambridgeshire, just a short drive from Cambridge, and only a 5 minute drive from Bourn, West Cambourne & Cambourne. with plenty of on-site parking, making us a local favourite for family Sunday lunches, mate dates, post walk roasts or just “I’m not cooking today!!” Sundays!

Our Sunday Roast Menu

We believe a great Sunday roast should be generous, comforting and made with love and care. Head Chef and co owner Craig has almost 30 years experience in the kitchen and pours all of this experience and his love for creating culinary delights into our Sunday Roasts. Here’s what you’ll find on our roast menu:

Roast Beef Sirloin - Tender, flavourful, and served with all the traditional trimmings.

Roast Leg of Lamb - Perfectly pink and packed with rich flavour.

Roast Pork with Crackling - Crisp crackling, juicy pork… everything you want it to be!

Chicken Breast (Served on the Bone) - Classic, comforting and cooked to perfection.

Each roast is served with fluffy-on-the-inside, crispy-on-the-outside roast potatoes, oversized Yorkshire puddings, our signature sweet potato & swede velouté-style smear (a velvety, flavour-packed orange purée that makes the plate pop) and a homemade gravy that’s rich, glossy and deep in flavour. We also serve our vegetables in separate dishes, so you can choose exactly what you want on your plate (personally I hate parsnips and fully appreciate these not gracing my plate!!)

Our butternut squash, chickpea and spinach Wellington is fully vegan (including the pastry!) beautifully seasoned and hugely popular, with good reason! It’s not a compromise or “alternative”. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or just fancy something different, our Butternut Squash Wellington holds its own proudly on a Sunday table.

We get it. So if someone in your party doesn’t fancy a traditional Sunday roast, we also offer a selection of Sunday Specials that often includes signature our Brisket Burgers, Buddha bowls with options like tempura prawns, beef brisket, or goats cheese or Smoked Ribs with a Jack Daniels BBQ Glaze.
