Ali Thompson proudly displaying her new book “Sunny Steps Loves To Dance” at The Chubby Frog
Last Thursday we had the honour and privilege of hosting a book launch party for local author, Ali Thompson. Held in our gorgeous little beer garden, aka The Secret Garden, amongst her closest family and friends with plenty of pizza, Prosecco and dancing! The scrumptious looking bespoke cupcakes were from Toms Cakes in Cambridge and I’m told they were every bit as delicious as they looked.
“Sunny Steps Loves To Dance”, the title of Ali’s new book, is clearly a labour of love. Here’s what she has to say about the inspiration behind it:
“I created my dance class, Sunny Steps, for toddlers over 20 years ago. It was based on how I used to play with my own children, taking them on dancing adventures. The classes still run and details of them can be found at Sunny Steps. I decided to write a book based on all this, during lockdown and so Sunny Steps Loves To Dance was born! It is the story of a little boy called Sunny Steps who dances with his daddy, and daddy takes him on fun and exciting dance adventures out of the playroom and into the wonderful world of dance.”
If you’d like to support Ali’s work or know a little one that loves to read and dance, Ali’s book is available to buy on Amazon and online at Heffers and Waterstones
A huge congratulations to Ali for such a wonderful accomplishment and for putting her love and magic out into the world. We wish her much luck with her book and can’t wait to see what she does next!
